Wektek

The name Wektek was born in 2006 with the launch of wektek.net, an online radio station streaming raw underground sounds — mostly freetekno and hardcore.

Resident DJs from Utopia Events, known for their hardcore parties in the south of the Netherlands (Hollywood/Eindhoven, Carte Blanche/Weert, and more), joined forces to bring their vinyl sets to the digital world. The result: a series of online streaming sessions with a lot of fun!

Although the radio eventually went silent, the energy never faded. The name Wektek evolved from a station into a solo artist and performer — continuing as part of the Synths from the South collective.
